cable solutions, with the flexibility, agility, and world-class expertise that ensures
the production of cost-competitive quality products and solutions.

We provide complete ‘End-to-End’ solutions which includes product
development, manufacturing, testing, installation and after market services.

Cablex is an established global supply chain partner with AS9100D, ISO 9001:2015, and ITAR compliance. Our highly experienced operators are IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified, and trained in lean and 5S principles.

Our manufacturing and customer support centres are located in Melbourne, Australia (Head Quarters), Brisbane, Bangalore India and Incorporated in the USA.

History
​
1985 - Cablex was founded in 1985 and established by Michael Zimmer.
​
1986 - 1990 – Builds long-term relationships with key clients, specifically
in the telecommunications sector. Becomes Incorporated.
​
1991 - 1997 – The awarding of significant outsourcing contracts resulted in
move to larger premises.
​
1998 - 2003 – Cablex expands its capabilities, investing in up-skilling and
strategic alliances in the Transportation, Telecommunications, and broader Defence industries. Becomes Incorporated in the USA.
​
2004 - 2009 – Strategically invests in the Aerospace sector winning a significant contract and acquires AS9001B quality certification, also expands into India and launches the installation component of the company.
​
2010 - Secures further global Aerospace contracts. Cablex Systems India Awarded ISO 9001 Certification in 2013.
​
2010 - Adds onsite installation services.
​
2010 - 2014 – Secures and extends several large-scale Rail project contracts.

In association with AIDN (Australian Industry Defence Network) and University Engineering
Faculties Cablex participates in a variety of student placement initiatives which provides
students with real on-the-job experience and skills at Cablex. The initiatives enable students
to remain engaged and informed about current industry work practices, processes, work
place opportunities, and projects.
